David Church

Senior Advisor

David Church currently serves on the board of Invel Real Estate Management Ltd and is a Senior Advisor to Invel.

Prior to Invel David spent most of his 35- year career as a real estate investment banker at UBS, Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank and spent 10 years running Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Real Estate Gaming and Lodging business in EMEA. David set up his own advisory business in 2016 which he ultimately sold to HFF, now a part of JLL. David has also spent time both on the investment side at Richard Ellis (now CBRE GI) as well as a private family office and as head of real estate equity research and sales at Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank.

Throughout his career David has advised some of the leading UK and Irish real estate and hotel companies on M&A, Equity and debt capital markets, secured lending and overall strategy. He has advised on some of the landmark deals in the sector in the UK and Ireland.

Transactions he has led include for example the acquisition and sale of Broadgate by Blackstone, the acquisition of P3 by TPG, the IPO of Kennedy Wilson and Canary Wharf, multiple take privates and asset sales including the OpCo / PropCo of Centerparcs and Spire Hospitals, Deutsche Bank’s headquarters in London as well as the EUR 1.7 billion restructuring and sale of Grange Hotels.
